Veterans
Day Breakfast and Ceremony November 11th at Atkinson Fire Station. Breakfast at
9 am for Atkinson Veterans, their families and friends. Public are invited to
the ceremony at 10 am. This will be the 25th anniversary for Atkinson
Recreation sponsored Veterans Day event and Atkinson Recreation is selected by
the U.S. Dept. VA as a Regional Site for the National Veterans Day
Commemoration — the only town in NH to receive this recognition two years -
2023 and 2025.
· 🎄 Tree Lighting – Sunday, November 30th at Dow Common and Fire Station at dusk, followed by kid’s activities including arts and craft, picture taking with Santa. Goody bags for kids, Hot cocoa, cider and cookies for everybody. Also collecting items for the local food pantries, and hats & mittens drives.
· 🎅 Santa for Seniors - gift giving project and list provided by the Meals on Wheels of Rockingham County. Join Atkinson Recreation in bringing warmth, joy, and a little holiday magic to local seniors this season!
The Giving Tree:
Look for our Giving Tree decorated with wish list ornaments at the Atkinson Tree Lighting on the Dow Common – Sunday, November 30th, at the Atkinson Fire Department. Then find it at the Atkinson Community Center!
How You Can Help:
Choose one or more ornaments from The Giving Tree or make a pledge on the Atkinson Recreation Facebook Page.
Purchase the gift(s) listed on the ornament.
Place your gift in a gift bag with tissue paper and attach the ornament to the bag.
Return your gift(s) by December 4th.

Atkinson Community Center: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Town Hall: Monday – Thursday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
