Pickleball Tournament at Woodlock Park – Fundraiser for Atkinson Recreation

🎾 Join the Action at the Atkinson Recreation Fundraiser Pickleball Tournament 🎉

For Intermediate level (3.0–3.49)

Atkinson, NH – June 28, 2025 — Ready. Set. Dink! The Atkinson Recreation Fundraiser Pickleball Tournament is gearing up to take over Woodlock Park (80 Woodlock Park Lane Atkinson NH) for a day of high-energy action, community spirit, and paddle-powered fun! Join us on Saturday, June 28 (rain date: June 29) as we serve up competition for a great cause — and Group B's Intermediate Level players (3.0–3.49) are right in the spotlight.

Whether you're a pickleball junkie or just love a good community event, this tournament is the place to be. With 8 mixed or unisex doubles teams at each group battling it out in a round robin format, each match promises fast-paced play and nonstop excitement.

🕦 Matches: 9:00 AM – 11:20 AM

🏓 GROUP B – Intermediate Level (3.0–3.49)
🕚 Check-in: 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM
🕦 Matches: 11:30 AM – 1:50 PM

 
🏓 Advance Level (3.5+_)
🕚 Check-in: 1:30 pm ~ 2:00 pm 
🕦 Matches: 2:00 pam ~ 4:00 pm 
 

📋 Format: Round Robin, Games to 11 (Win by 1) or 20-minute limit
🔢 Teams determined by Committee members after registrations are full.

Program Overview

Atkinson Sun ‘n Fun: Day program for children between the ages of 6 and 15.

Location:         Woodlock Park -80 Woodlock Park Lane Atkinson NH 03811     

 

Year: 2025

 

The Atkinson Recreation “Sun ‘n Fun” Summer Program has been a valued tradition for Atkinson kids for many years! Each week features a new theme with exciting activities for campers to enjoy.

Campers will experience a full day of fun, including:

  • Sports
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Games
  • Music & Theatre
  • Field Trips
  • Special Guests

Camper, Junior CIT and CIT Registration

  • April 14 for Atkinson residents
  • May 5 for non-residents
  • Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Weekly tuition is due at the time of registration.
  • Maximum of 60 campers, 4 junior CITs and 4 CITs per week. Waitlist available.
  • No programs at the park on field trip days.
  • No daily rate available.

Camper Ages

  • Children must be at least 6 years old and entering 1st grade in Fall 2025, and no older than 11 years old or entering 6th grade in Fall 2025.

 

 

Camper Fees

Residents:

  • One-time membership fee: $20
  • Weekly fees: average ~ $150

Non-Residents:

  • One-time membership fee: $30
  • Weekly fee: average ~ $170

Junior CIT (Counselor-in-Training) Registration

  • Maximum of 4 Junior CITs per week
  • Junior CITs assist CITs and counselors with tasks like setting up activities, supervising campers, and more.
  • May require an interview with the Recreation Director.

Junior CIT Ages:

  • 12–13 years old by June 23rd.

Junior CIT Fees:

  • Residents:
    • Membership fee: $20
    • Weekly fee: $75 + Field Trip fees
  • Non-Residents (if available):
    • Membership fee: $30
    • Weekly fee: $100 + Field Trip fees

CIT (Counselors-in-Training) Registration

  • Maximum of 4 CITs per week
  • CITs assist counselors with tasks such as setting up activities, supervising campers, and more.
  • May require an interview with the Recreation Director.

CIT Ages:

  • 14–15 years old by June 23rd.

    • Membership fee: $20
    • Weekly fee: $50 + Field Trip fees
  • Non-Residents (if available):
    • Membership fee: $30
    • Weekly fee: $75 + Field Trip fees

Staff-to-Camper Ratio

  • 1:8 ratio.
  • Capacity is limited to maintain safety standards.

Policies and Procedures

Absences

  • Advanced notice of absences (via email, voicemail, or written note) is appreciated but not required. Please notify us if your child will miss a field trip so we can adjust tickets.

Inclement Weather

  • In case of inclement weather, the program will move indoors to the Atkinson Community Center.
  • Drop-off remains the same, but pick-up will be at 3:00 PM.
  • Updates will be shared via text, email, and Facebook.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up Procedures

  • Drop-Off: 8:45–9:00 AM
  • Pick-Up: 3:15–3:30 PM
  • Follow the drop-off and pick-up line near the tennis courts. Stay in your vehicle until staff greet you.
  • For early pick-up, escort your child to the Pavilion, sign the notebook, and notify staff.
  • No supervision is provided before 8:30 AM or after 3:45 PM.
  • Late Pick-Up Policy:
    • $10 for 3:45–4:00 PM
    • $5 for every additional 5 minutes after 4:00 PM
  • If it rains during camp at Woodlock Park (Pope Field), parents are responsible for picking up their children.
  • If someone other than the listed parent/guardian is picking up your child, please:
    1. Ensure they provide photo ID.
    2. Notify the Director or a counselor with a written note and pick-up time.

Late Pick-Up Fees

  • $10 for the first 15 minutes (3:45–4:00 PM)
  • $5 for each additional 5 minutes

Camper Responsibilities & Dress Code

Campers must be:

  • Independent in the bathroom and able to change clothes without staff assistance.
  • Able to feed themselves.
  • Appropriately dressed for active participation.

Footwear:

  • Sneakers or sturdy shoes (no flip-flops or sandals).

Sunscreen:

  • Campers must apply sunscreen before arrival and reapply throughout the day. Staff will remind campers.

Daily Essentials:

  • Waterproof backpack or cooler
  • Lunch, snacks, and utensils
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Bathing suit and towel
  • Sunscreen (applied before arrival)

Program Activities

  • Activities vary each week based on the theme include sports, creative games, theatre, music, and arts & crafts.

Field Trips

  • Field trips occur on Wednesdays during Weeks 3, 4, and 5.
  • No alternate transportation is allowed; campers must carry their belongings in lightweight backpacks.
  • Bring lunch, snacks, and water bottle. Pizza and soda may be provided on select field trips.

First Aid & Medication Policy

  • All staff members are CPR and First Aid certified.
  • Staff cannot administer medication. Parents must provide self-administered medication in clearly labeled containers.

Illness Policy

  • Children showing symptoms such as fever, vomiting, or diarrhea must be picked up within 30 minutes and must remain symptom-free for 24 hours before returning to camp.

Discipline Policy

  • Camp rules and behavior expectations are reviewed weekly. Serious infractions, including bullying, fighting, or boundary violations, may result in immediate dismissal.
  • After three dismissals, the camper will be removed from the program without a refund.

Electronic Device Policy

  • Campers are encouraged to leave electronics at home. Cell phones must remain off during camp hours.

 

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Cancellations must be made at least 5 days before the start of the reserved week for a refund.
